FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HIRE PERIOD

Our hire period is flexible to your needs, with no extra costs!

BOOKINGS

To secure your booking a $50.00 deposit is required, an invoice will be sent to your nominated email address and the deposit is payable within 7 days.

The outstanding balance is to be paid five days’ prior to delivery/collection.

We are flexible when it comes to confirming guest numbers, and changes can be made up to two days prior to delivery/collection for your event.

Cancellations with less than 5 days’ notice will forfeit deposits paid.

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION SERVICE

Daintea offers a delivery and pick up service throughout the Perth Metro area. Delivery & Collection is $50.00. If you only require us to Deliver, and you will return, or vice versa it is $25.00. If you require set up and/or pack up, this can be completed the day before, or the morning of your event, pack up will be completed at the conclusion of your event. This will be charged at $25.00 per hour.

VIEWINGS

We warmly invite you to our home based studio located in Swan View to view our items for hire. You are welcome to pick and even play with our items to ensure you are 100% happy with the items that will be on display at your event!

PREFERRED COLOURS

If you have a preferred colour scheme or theme in mind that you would like to be predominately included in your hire, please include this when you contact us for your hire. Although this may not always be possible, we will always do our best to include pieces that may best match your colour scheme/theme.

You are also warmly invited to view our hire items and choose your pieces at least 7 days prior to hire.

MINIMUM HIRE

There is no minimum hire, you are welcome to hire as much or as little as you need!

Hirers are responsible for any damages incurred whilst the items are in their possession. A bond of $100.00 is required for all orders under $100.00, and a bond of $200.00 is required for all orders over $100.00.

BOND / DAMAGES

Bond monies will be returned once items are received back and inspected to ensure there are no missing items, chips/cracks or breakages.

Breakages and losses will be charged at current replacement value per item and this will be deducted from the bond. We only charge for the item that has been damaged; for example, if a teacup is broken, we will only charge you for the replacemet cost of the teacup, and not the trio/duo setting.

RETURN OF ITEMS

Hire includes the cost of Daintea taking care of the washing up for you, however, we do ask if you could kindly please wipe over/ remove food and/or drink stuffs from crockery, before packaging away.

You are most welcome to take care of the washing up yourself, athough the crockery can only be hand washed in warm soapy water; dishwashers and harsh abrasives unfortunately can’t be used as they can damage the delicate 24k gold gilding and transfer on the pieces. Glass tumblers, teaspoons and cake forks are fine to be washed in a dishwasher.
